We are The British Dorper Sheep Society, and if you are looking at this page or just using the website, this privacy policy applies to you. The information you’ll find below explains the information our site gathers during your visit and why.

Communication: if you get in touch, we will retain the detail of that contact so that we can get back to you.
Contact Information: if you contact us, we will collect information on how to contact you – your name and email address.
Information about you: some actions on this site (such as getting in touch) will collect some information about you. This may include your IP address, browser and operating system information. This is used to defend the site against Spam.
Usage: how long you spend on the site and how you navigate around it. we use this to make the site more user friendly.
The legal basis for collecting this data
Here’s why we collect this data: Legitimate interests: where use of personal information is necessary for my legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party (unless there is a good reason to protect your personal information which overrides our legitimate interests). Consent: where the user has given clear consent for their personal data to be processed for a specific reason. Withdrawing consent – you can withdraw consent at any time; just let us know. If ‘consent’ is the only reason for which we are processing that data, we will stop.
Data we do not collect
Sensitive data: information about your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health-related data, information about your sexual preferences/orientation. We don’t collect any of this through the website.
Children’s data: my site is targeted at adults requiring Podiatry Services, and therefore not designed for use by Under 18s. We do not knowingly collect data from under 16s.
How long we keep your data
How long we keep your data will depend on the type of data you share. If you get in touch, we will keep the details of that communication until we have concluded the matter.
How secure is the data we keep?
We secure your data behind physical and electronic lock and key to do all we can to keep your data secure. That being said, sending data is never 100% secure, and you provide your data at your own risk.
Where do we store the data?
The data we collect is stored and processed in the UK and in any data processing facilities used by the third parties specified below.
Sharing your data with third parties
We do not pass any data that could be used to identify you to third parties, but we do use third party services to help keep the site up and running safely for you.

Anti-spam: we use a plug in that filters through comment and communication data to help us identify spam and keep the site tidy.
Hosting and data processing: my site and email are hosted on third party infrastructure to make it more reliable and secure than we would be able to manage on my own.

We use cookies to run and maintain the website – we only use the cookies we need to do that. Third-parties to which we direct you may use cookies, too; they are in control of those cookies, not us.
